Blochon-Martin adds four new Mercedes to its fleet

The century-old transport company Blochon-Martin, based in Mondeville (14), now operates three sites in the Seine-Maritime, Calvados and Oise regions. Originally focused on removals, the group is now also involved in transport with tippers and flatbed cranes, with a fleet of 150 vehicles. Four new Actros F 1848 tractors have just been delivered. "Consumption, safety and technology were the main reasons why the company opted for these new trucks," explains Vincent Lenorais, the company's Managing Director.
The new tractors feature a 2.50-meter cab with a 17-centimeter engine tunnel, and are equipped with Multimedia Cockpit and MirrorCams. The Actros F 1848 are powered by the brand's OM 471 12.8-liter engine, delivering 350 kW/476 hp and a generous 2,300 Nm of torque, combined with Top Torque, which offers an additional 200 Nm in 7th gear of the 12-speed PowerShift gearbox.
