Renault Trucks' first 100% electric off-highway construction truck

Renault Trucks' first 100% electric off-highway construction truck

The all-new Renault Trucks E-Tech C 8×4 tridem is the first electric off-highway construction truck. It is fitted with a CIF tipper, a Fassi F195 auxiliary crane and a Cramaro automatic tarpaulin system. With its 4 batteries, each with a capacity of 90 kWh, this truck boasts a total capacity of 360 kWh, giving it an estimated range of between 150 &and 220 km, depending on conditions of use. The entire body is powered by a hydraulic pump, itself powered by the electric motor. This ensures quieter operation of the crane and tipper.

The truck's special feature is its steel front bumper. It is also equipped with the new dashboard, as well as all the safety devices required by GSR 2 regulations (side radars, front radars, rear camera). "With the arrival of the ZFE, diesel vehicles will soon be banned from city centers and therefore from worksites. This Renault Trucks E-Tech C 8×4 is the perfect solution for quiet access to city centers," says Charles Pierron, Product Engineer at Renault Trucks France.
