TractEasy, the new autonomous electric fleet tractor

TractEasy is a new entity, launched at the beginning of the year, resulting from the collaboration between two French companies: EasyMile, a world leader in intelligent mobility technologies, and TLD, a specialist in airport equipment. Isitec International, an expert in the automation of logistics processes in industry, has signed a partnership agreement with TractEasy, to offer an autonomous outdoor vehicle, the EZTow. This vehicle improves and accelerates the movement of materials on large industrial sites. This electric vehicle can transport up to 20 tonnes of heavy loads without a driver (it can tow up to 4 trailers), to the "right" building for logistics, production and so on. With its compact dimensions (3200mm long by 1900mm wide), it can carry out transport/transfer operations 7/7 days and 24/24 hours at a maximum speed of 15 Km/h in autonomous mode, in complete safety and efficiency. It is already in operation 24 hours a day at BMW's Dingolfing plant in Germany, as well as at John Deere, a manufacturer of autonomous handling equipment. A major automotive supplier has also opted for the EZTow for its plant in Romania, coupled with the automation expertise of Isitec International, which also provides after-sales service for the EZTow in France and Europe.
" At a time of competitive and sustainable reindustrialization in Europe, robotics and intelligent equipment such as the EZTow enable manufacturers to gain in operational productivity, improve working conditions and enhance their attractiveness, particularly in the transport and logistics professions which are under heavy recruitment pressure", emphasizes Clément Masson, EMEA Business Development Director at TractEasy.
