Renault Trucks confirms its position in electric mobility

In 2023, the French manufacturer sold 1,636 electric vehicles, an increase of 153% on the previous year! Nearly 900 of these were delivered to the French market, including 458 vehicles over 16 tonnes, and over 500 light commercial vehicles, a segment which leapt by 450%. This trend is set to become even more pronounced this year, with the arrival of two electric LCV models: the E-Tech Trafic and the E-Tech Master (to replace the current model in 2024).
The automaker's goal is to achieve 50% of its sales with battery-electric vehicles by 2030. All urban and suburban distribution applications are covered by the Renault Trucks range, notably with the E-Tech D and D Wide mass-produced in Calvados. The year was also marked by the opening of the assembly line for Renault Trucks E-Tech T and C, 44-tonne electric trucks, at the Bourg-en-Bresse plant (Ain).

More generally, the manufacturer closed the year 2023 with 69,859 vehicles, up 18%. In France, with 13,187 vehicles (upper and middle ranges), it confirmed its position with a 2.5% increase in volumes. In the 16-ton plus rigids segment, sales rose by 5.2% to 6057 units.
