VoltR industrializes lithium battery reconditioning

VoltR is a French manufacturer of reconditioned batteries, based in Angers. It has announced the raising of 4 million euros to industrialize its lithium battery reconditioning process. VoltR aims to put used batteries to a new use, thereby maximizing their value. The electrification of applications is driving a growing demand for batteries, stimulated in particular by the transition to electric systems in sectors such as mobility. Founded in 2022, the company has developed technologies and processes based on artificial intelligence that enable battery characterization, cell reallocation and remanufacturing. "Our ambition is to structure a European second-life cycle for lithium batteries, in order to minimize their environmental impact. The biggest deposit of lithium is not buried in the mines, but right here at home. VoltR wants to exploit the full potential of batteries at the end of their first life cycle, to encourage the creation of a circular battery economy in France and throughout Europe", explains VoltR Chairman and founder Alban Regnier.

VoltR's first Seed financing round is supported by C4 Ventures, Exergon, Pays de la Loire Participations and Anjou Amorçage, among others.
