Kiloutoua has created a new solution for controlling access to equipment on worksites, called Konnect. Thanks to a telematic box, Konnect offers intelligent access control: using a connected key in the form of a personal, nominative RFID card, users can unlock access to the machine, preventing any use by unauthorized persons. "On sites where there's a lot of co-activity, we've noticed that equipment can be a source of tension. Konnect is a very pragmatic solution, a response to a real problem on everyday worksites. It's particularly useful in the finishing phases of the construction industry, where there are sometimes so many players involved!" explains Nicolas Guilbaud, Kiloutou Regional Sales Director.
Kiloutou has developed this solution in response to situations in the field, where equipment is frequently shared between employees of different service providers. This can mean borrowing a machine without explicit authorization, finding it moved around the worksite, or with its fuel tank or battery empty. It can also make it difficult to establish liability in the event of breakage or accident. Konnect is compatible with all earthmoving, lifting and handling equipment. Installation and configuration are carried out by Kiloutou-approved technicians. The solution is currently deployed on 5 sites in the Hauts-de-France and Occitanie regions.
