Truck recharging: Milence announces its first site in France

Milence announces the opening of its first electric charging site for trucks in France, in the Eure department (27), at Heudebouville, between Paris and Rouen. Milence, a joint venture between Volvo Group, Daimler Truck and Traton Group, is tasked with deploying a public electric charging network in Europe for trucks and buses. This first French site is strategically located for hauliers heading for Paris and other logistics hubs such as Le Havre, Caen, Dieppe and Rouen. It is open to all trucks, whatever their make.
"This recharging site is strategically located at the heart of a major logistics zone in Northern France, between Paris and Le Havre," says Anja van Niersen, CEO of Milence." The development of this site is in line with the expansion of our network in Europe. The sustainable solutions we are developing are designed to offer truck drivers an optimal resting and recharging experience. We intend to expand our network with several key sites, some of which are already under contract and under development. All sites are located along key strategic areas."

The first phase marks the opening of the Rouen charging center and should be operational in April 2024, with 4 CCS (Combined Charging System) chargers providing up to 400 kW of charging power each. In a 2nd phase, additional charging stations will be installed. Milence also intends to install its first MCS (Megawatt Charging System) chargers during this phase.
