Tadano launches an electric construction crane in Japan

The Tadano Evolt eGR-250N is the manufacturer's first all-electric construction crane. With a capacity of 25 tonnes, it is reserved for the Japanese market. The Evolt eGR-250N has been designed to retain the same characteristics as the conventional GR series, with a maximum lifting capacity of 25 tonnes, a reach of 34 m, a lifting height of 44.2 m and a maximum speed of 49 km/h. This new model is equipped with two 97kW (132PS) motors. This design minimizes shocks during speed changes, considerably reducing operator stress for greater working comfort and efficiency. The lithium-ion battery, with a total capacity of 226 kWh, enables an average day's crane work and driving with a full charge for an average day's work.

The EVOLT series represents Tadano's range of electrified products.

This first model will be followed in the 1st half of 2024 by a 100-ton crane for the USA and Canada.
