The CPMDG Commission (Commission Professionnelle des Métiers de la grue à tour) of the DLR federation has published a cost index for the tower crane rental and service business. Over the period 2020 to 2023, the rise in costs for rental activities reached 13.47% compared to 2019 (reference year), with an increase of almost 6% in 2023 compared to 2022. For service activities, the increase is 13.48% in 2023 compared with 2019, and 4.66% compared with 2022.
This index was established by Neo Engineering, and takes into account official indices (Insee, CNR, Syntec, Banque de France, etc.) as well as composite indices, which are then weighted according to the structure of costs for the Rental and Services businesses.
