PSMO: a future multimodal hub on the Seine for the construction industry

Haropa Port has begun work on the Port Seine Métropole Ouest (PSMO) on the Achères plain, a major infrastructure project for river and rail transport in the Paris region. With an investment of €122 million, this multimodal hub will accommodate activities in the construction and public works sectors, facilitating the transport of materials by river, rail and road. Ultimately, it will bolster the region's economic development and contribute to the growth of sustainable logistics, meeting the construction needs of the Grand Paris and the Paris region as a whole.

Scheduled to be operational from 2027, the project aims to strengthen local economic development and promote sustainable logistics, while actively involving stakeholders in a broad consultation process. Several construction phases are scheduled to run until 2040. At the start of 2024, the preparatory phase begins with the relocation of houseboats, improvements to the riverbank and the creation of a decoupling zone for river convoys.
