The consortium made up of Eiffage (leader) and APRR has been chosen to enter into exclusive negotiations for the creation of a 2X2 motorway link between Machilly and Thonon-les-Bains in Haute-Savoie, known as the A412. The project involves the design, construction and operation of this infrastructure, as part of a program to open up the Chablais region. The infrastructure is dimensioned to anticipate and cope with new climatic constraints, and incorporates innovative, low-carbon construction methods right from the design stage, as well as support for the development of complementary alternative modes of transport, such as a cycle route along the route, and car-sharing parking lots equipped with electric charging stations.
