Foselev opts for Allison transmission on Sany SAC600E crane

The Foselev Group has opted for an Allison Specialty Series automatic transmission to equip its SAC600E 3-axle Sany mobile crane. This 60-ton mobile crane, distributed in France by SNM Cranes, with its compact chassis and variety of jib configurations and counterweight combinations, offers great flexibility for lifting projects. "The SANY SAC 600 E crane appealed to us because, with the Allison transmission, it enables us to be very efficient on the road and extremely agile on worksites. The crane operators appreciate its flexibility when maneuvering over obstacles on the road, and above all its ability to squeeze through the tightest spaces on site", says Maël Fiche, project manager for the Foselev Atlantique agency in Donges (Loire-Atlantique).

Combined with the Mercedes-Benz OM470LA all-terrain in-line six-cylinder engine, the Allison 4500SP six-speed transmission with planetary gear torque converter ensures smooth starting and manoeuvring. The machines benefit from uninterrupted acceleration and smooth gear changes with no loss of speed. "We have developed a close partnership with SANY and SNM Cranes, experts in lifting equipment, particularly mobile cranes, to build a solution that meets the reliability and performance needs of crane users with three axles or more. Allison's fully automatic transmissions enable gear changes without torque breaks, which is a considerable advantage both on and off the road", explains Stéphane Gonnand, Allison Transmission's French Development Manager.
