A special "mountain" MAN for Transports Rivieri

Transports Rivieri (38) has taken delivery of a new 510 hp MAN TGX 6X4X4 truck, equipped with a 60 t/m Cormach crane, specially designed for mountain applications. Indeed, its high construction with its steered rear axle and powered front axle enables it to access the most difficult areas. "MAN is one of the few manufacturers to offer this type of configuration, and we chose the MAN TGX after expressing our specific needs. The feasibility study convinced us. When unladen, thanks to its short wheelbase, the load is distributed between the two axles, allowing perfect mobility," explains Pierrick Rivieri, who is in charge of lifting at Transports Rivieri.
This new vehicle can be used anywhere in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region. From the installation of snow cannons or gondola stations, to the securing of cliffs, via the installation of electrical cabinets or micro power stations on the Matheysin plateau, the MAN TGX 6x4x4 meets every requirement. Founded in 1991, Transports Rivieri employs six people and operates a fleet of six vehicles, all adapted to mountain conditions.
