Tadano restructures its German operations

The Tadano Group has announced the restructuring of its activities, including the closure of the Wallerscheid production site, one of its two plants in Zweibrücken. Crane models produced at Wallerscheid will be transferred to the other Zweibrücken plant, TDG Dinglerstrasse, as well as to the Tadano plant in Lauf (TFG) and a plant in Japan.

The announcement comes as part of Tadano's medium-term management plan, published on February 14, 2024, in which the group stated its intention to reorient its manufacturing activities in Europe. "The envisaged changes will affect Tadano's European business activities and aim to establish a framework that maximizes the strength of the company's combined German and Japanese production capabilities," the group states in a release. "The changes envisaged in production are designed to enable the company to respond even more effectively to customer needs and ensure that its products and services remain at the forefront of the market over the long term. They will also serve to improve delivery speed in crane production as well as in repair and maintenance work."
