Aerial work platforms: GSR renews its range

Aerial work platform manufacturer GSR has renewed its range of aerial work platforms for light commercial vehicles, introducing its new vertical stabilization system on all B180T and B200T4 telescopic (T series) models (18 and 20 m), and PX series articulated telescopic handlers, B200PX, B220PXE, B240PX (20 to 24 m working height) mounted on 3.5-tonne Daily and Sprinter rigids. The Rimini-based manufacturer took advantage of the national "Made in Italy" day to present these innovations and promote its know-how to students at the "O. Belluzzi - L. Da Vinci" ITTS (Technical and Technological Institute). Belluzzi - L. Da Vinci" technical and technological institute in Rimini, on the theme of "GSR: technology, safety and innovation to go higher".

The platform presented at the event was the new B240PX, with a working height of 24 m, vertical stabilization, a maximum capacity of 250 kg and a horizontal reach of up to 12.30 m. The structure of GSR aerial platforms remains light, in high-strength steel, without recourse to ultra-thin steels or aluminum alloys, in keeping with its construction philosophy, which combines innovative solutions to guarantee a high level of safety and ease of machine management.

This new stage also corresponds to the forthcoming arrival on the market of vehicles complying with the new GSR 2 safety requirements, for General Safety regulation. This new regulation will require all newly-registered vehicles to be equipped with Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) and a black box. GSR2 will also influence the future choice of new light vehicles with semi-advanced cabs, as they will no longer be able to combine the advantage of the advanced cab with these new safety requirements.
