Three GPA trucks switch to HVO

The GPA Group is testing HVO-XTL biofuel on 3 of its trucks dedicated to transporting end-of-life vehicles from their collection site to the processing site in Livron-sur-Drôme. GPA, based in Livron-sur-Drôme, is an industrial recycler and distributor of used car parts. On October1, 2023, it became France's first mission-based automotive recycler. "As a player in the mobility sector, we are constantly questioning our practices in order to move towards the most virtuous industry possible, reconciling growth and respect for the environment," explains Johan Renaud, co-director of Groupe GPA. "Of all the practical alternatives available to us in terms of logistics, biofuels represent a solution that meets our desire to diversify resources. In 2024, we will be completing the renewal of our fleet, and we have been working on optimizing vehicle collection thanks to a territorial network. For the supply of HVO, which is not yet available at the pump, the group has set up a partnership with a service station close to the Drôme plant, which has made available a dedicated 7,000-liter storage tank. With the arrival of 4 new vehicles in 2024, the GPA Group will complete the complete renewal of its 30-truck fleet. This rejuvenation is synonymous with an overall improvement in the performance of the fleet, which meets Euro 6 standards. It is currently testing an electric truck for motorcycle delivery.
