Moselle: launch of the Momestroff II wind farm

The new Momestroff II wind farm, developed on behalf of NTR, has officially begun construction in Moselle. Two Liebherr LG1750 cranes from Couturier have been mobilized to assemble the wind turbines, symbolizing the launch of this strategic project for the energy transition in the Grand Est region.

The park will comprise 10 Nordex N131/3600 wind turbines, with a total capacity of 35.9 MW, capable of supplying 13,700 households with green electricity. Commissioning is scheduled for 2026.

Located on a site that is difficult to access and exposed to winter conditions, the construction site presented a logistical challenge for the teams on site. Despite these constraints, the mobilization of technical and human resources illustrates the commitment of NTR and its partners to strengthening renewable energy production in the region.

Nordex N131/3600 wind turbines:

  • Mast height: 91 to 115 m, depending on the project configuration.
  • Rotor diameter: 131 m (this is what "N131" stands for).
  • Total height (mast + rotor radius): between 157 and 178 m at the top of the rotor.
  • Nominal power: 3.6 MW per turbine (the "3600" in the name).
