Mammoet has been selected to support the Groupe Construction Pomerleau-Canam (GCPC) consortium in renovating the roof of Montreal's Olympic Stadium. The consortium, made up of Pomerleau and Canam Group, was given the mandate to replace the old roof with a fixed transparent glass structure, allowing natural light to illuminate the stadium.
This project will include the use of the Mega Jack 5200 system, which will be used to raise the structure to a height of 50 metres.
The roof will remain suspended for two months with 6 Mega Jacks to allow final installation work, including anchoring to the top of the famous Tour de Montréal.
