The Foselev Group has invested in seven new Grove cranes, with three, four and five axles. In particular, the company opted for several GMK3060L-1s to replace older two-axle models. The three-axle, 60 t capacity GMK3060L-1 also features Grove's carrier cab and a compact 8.67 m long carrier frame. It can carry up to 7.5 t of counterweight, with a long reach and a boom that extends from 9.6 m to 48 m.
"Grove cranes are one of the pillars of our fleet, and we enjoy working with them, especially the variety of boom lengths and configurations. These cranes can easily work 1,200 hours a year. Our contacts at Grove are fantastic, and we enjoy excellent customer service. We have more than 100 Grove cranes in our fleet, and this number is set to continue growing," says Eric Stroppiana, Operations Director of the Lifting, Transport and Handling Division within the Foselev Group.
The 100 t capacity GMK4100L-2 self-propelled road-mobile crane is just 2.55 m wide, and features MEGATRAK suspension for easy manoeuvring on worksites. It can carry a counterweight of 6.8 t in cab configuration, for a total vehicle weight of less than 12 t per axle.
As for the 120-t GMK5120L, its main boom has a reach of 66 m. In a configuration of 12 t per axle, it can take a counterweight of up to 14.6 t, or 3.1 t in a configuration of 10 t per axle. These capacities make for great flexibility and reduced transport costs.
