Bouygues Construction builds a new hospital in Morocco

Bouygues Construction, via its Moroccan subsidiary Bymaro, has won the contract to build the new Rabat University Hospital, worth 450 million euros. Comprising 4 6-storey buildings and a 25-storey tower, with a total surface area of over 275,000 m2, it will include healthcare and teaching facilities. A special feature of the project is the installation of 8,800 m² of photovoltaic panels with a capacity of 2 MWp[1], which will cover more than 10% of total energy requirements. Finally, the design chosen will reduce carbon emissions by more than 40% compared with reference projects. The project is scheduled for delivery in September 2025.
