Sany Heavy Industry boosts international growth

With total sales of 74.02 billion yuan ($10.43 billion), the Sany Heavy Industry Group saw its international business grow strongly in 2023. Indeed, 43.3 billion yuan are now generated by exports, up 18% on the previous year, representing 60% of sales.
This progress is noteworthy despite a downturn in the economy, with overall sales down by 8% compared with 2022. 21% of sales are generated by lifting equipment ranges, 38% by excavation, 18% by concrete and 23% by other equipment.

For the Chinese group, this significant growth underlines its transition to an international conglomerate, with sales in over 180 countries and regions. Sales in Europe reached 16.25 billion yuan ($2.3 billion), a strong increase of 37.97%. In Asia and Australia, sales amounted to 16.5 billion yuan ($2.32 billion), up 11.1% on the previous year, while the American market brought in 7.58 billion yuan ($1 billion), up 6.82%. The African region contributed 2.92 billion yuan ($411.8 million), up 2.56%. "SANY boasts a dynamic overseas market, leading partners and an energetic local team," said Xiang Wenbo, President of SANY Heavy Industry.
