Loxam certifies its decarbonization strategy

Loxam becomes the first European rental company to have its greenhouse gas reduction trajectory validated by the Science Based Targets (SBTi) initiative. SBTi evaluates emission reduction targets according to strict criteria to ensure that they are compatible with a warming limit of 1.5°C. Loxam is committed to reducing its internal emissions (Scopes 1 and 2) by 50% and its indirect emissions (Scope 3) by 30% by 2030.
This strategy is marked by the implementation of concrete measures, such as the use of renewable energy (half of sites now connected to green electricity), the electrification of light company vehicles and massive investment in low-emission equipment. The group is also organizing the decarbonization of its transport logistics, notably by optimizing the route of delivery rounds and using natural gas trucks. It is investing massively in a fleet of low-emission equipment (electric, hybrid, gas and hydrogen-powered).

Several dozen low-carbon worksites have thus been completed in France and internationally by 2023. "We are fully committed to continuing our efforts, with our ecosystem of customers and suppliers, to achieve the targets set," says Alice Hénault, Loxam Group Director of Foresight and Development.
