Kiloutou adds 60 electric tippers to its fleet

The Kiloutou group's Impakt range, dedicated to low-carbon equipment, now includes a new offering: 60 100% electric light-duty tipper trucks were delivered at the end of last year. The rental company is thus pursuing its investments to provide solutions to new regulations in the building and civil engineering sector and for local authorities in terms of ecology, in particular the development of ZFEs (low-emission zones) in large urban areas.

This new Ford 3.5-tonne electric LCV has a payload of 937 kg, an unladen range of 252 km and a silent, electric 184 hp engine. It is ideal for transporting tools, goods and other heavy materials in all kinds of environments. "Within our equipment fleet, tipper trucks are the equipment that emits the most CO2. This observation logically leads us to rethink the composition of our fleets in order to provide our customers with more environmentally-friendly transport solutions. We are also aware of the positive impact that the use of electric equipment can have in populated areas," says Audrey Miclard, Sustainable Development Director at Kiloutou. The use of electric tipper trucks makes a significant contribution to reducing emissions of fine particles and other atmospheric pollutants, as well as reducing the numerous noise nuisances reported by local residents."
