Bolloré Energy supplies EDF in Guadeloupe

Bolloré Energy has won EDF Archipel Guadeloupe's tender to supply 300m3 of B100 biofuel from France to the Guadeloupe archipelago. Called Koolza 100, this biofuel made from rapeseed grown and processed in France, is being deployed in a test phase by EDF to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from the Jarry Sud thermal power plant. It was loaded into 13 tank containers from the Valtris Champlor production plant in Verdun, eastern France, to the port of Le Havre, where it sailed for Guadeloupe.
"Thanks to the use of Koolza100, we are affirming our objective of being a key player in alternative solutions to decarbonize the entire energy sector (land-based fuel, combustibles, etc.). This contract is also symbolic for Bolloré Energy, as it is our first overseas delivery", says Julien Hérou, Deputy Supply Director, Bolloré Energy.
