Renault Trucks launches production of its electric construction trucks

Renault Trucks' Bourg-en Bresse plant is now home to series production of the E-Tech T and E-Tech C electric models, vehicles dedicated to regional distribution and construction. These 44 t GVW models complete the range of the French manufacturer, which has transformed and adapted its production facilities. They come in 4×2 and 6×2 tractor versions (3,900 mm wheelbase) and 4×2, 6×2 and 8×4 tridem rigids, with 11 different wheelbases. They can be fitted with four to six lithium-ion battery packs offering power ratings from 390 to 540 kWh, for a range of up to 300 km on a full charge. At Bourg-en-Bresse, they are assembled on the same assembly line as their diesel equivalents. It is only at the end of the line that they are transferred to another 5,200 m2 area, where qualified operators carry out the technical operations required for electrification.
