The components of the very first Ariane 64 launcher, the four-booster version of Ariane 6, have arrived in French Guiana. This is a decisive step that marks the official launch of the launch campaign.
After crossing the Atlantic aboard the Canopée ship, the main components of the Ariane 6 launcher arrived at the Guiana Space Center (CSG). This arrival marks a key milestone in the Ariane 6 program, with the first flight of its most powerful version, Ariane 64, equipped with four boosters approximately 22 meters long and 3.4 meters in diameter, now in sight.
As soon as they were unloaded, the components were transferred to the integration areas at Europe's spaceport. Technical teams began a rigorously planned sequence of operations, including the gradual assembly of the launcher and the first stages of preparation for the Amazon Kuiper (LEO) constellation satellites, which will be carried on board during this mission.
This launch campaign involves all stakeholders at the Guiana site, from industrial teams to space center operators. Each phase is conducted with precision to ensure the reliability of the launcher for this inaugural flight of the Ariane 64 configuration.
The launch is currently scheduled for February 2026, a major milestone for the future of European access to space.
