IVECO and PlusAI announce the deployment in Spain of trucks equipped with Level 4 autonomous driving systems. This project is being carried out in partnership with logistics operator Sesé and the government of Aragon.
Marco Liccardo, Chief Technology and Digital Officer at Iveco Group, emphasizes that vehicle automation is an integral part of the group's technology strategy. "This project allows us to strengthen our partnership with PlusAI and make progress in our onboard ADAS and ADS solutions," he explains.
Shawn Kerrigan, co-founder of PlusAI, adds that this initiative demonstrates how autonomous driving can contribute to the safety, efficiency, and sustainability of road transport, while supporting the competitiveness of supply chains in Europe.
IVECO Group continues its research and development work on autonomous vehicles, following several Level 2+ pilot projects with PlusAI, aimed at making transport safer and more efficient.
