Verona: a Potain MDT 809 crane installed on the Borgo Roma hospital construction site

At the Borgo Roma hospital renovation site in Verona, CEER Res Omnia has assembled a Potain MDT 809 tower crane, which will play a key role in the work until 2028. Installed on a 44-meter-high metal structure, the crane has a 20-meter mast and a 45-meter jib, with a lifting capacity suited to the constraints of the hospital project.

The installation was based on a lattice structure designed by the CIMOLAI group, allowing the crane to be repositioned at four locations as the project progressed. Stability studies were conducted by Manitowoc's Lift Solutions department, in coordination with the Italian teams at Manitowoc and CEER Res Omnia, to ensure the safety of each phase of assembly and operation.

The assembly operations, coordinated by Imola Gru, began in mid-September and were completed in four working days. Despite limited space and significant logistical constraints, the sequential organization of deliveries and coordination of teams enabled precise assembly. The crane is now operational for the installation of metal structures and components necessary for the seismic reinforcement of the hospital complex.
