Ortec Group has opted for the Optimum solution to track and manage its 1700 machines and vehicles deployed in Africa. Ortec Group has a worldwide presence, with 24 subsidiaries in 12 African countries. It operates in cutting-edge sectors such as oil & gas, nuclear, defense, transport, aeronautics, aerospace and heavy industry. Every year, the group invests between 14 and 20 million euros to modernize its equipment (light vehicles, trucks, generators, forklift trucks, nacelles, compressors, etc.). Optimum's solution enables it to efficiently monitor this fleet of equipment.
To date, 59% of equipment is connected, with a target of 100% by 2026. "Optimum's presence on the African continent guarantees us essential proximity to our local agencies. What's more, the platform offers advanced functionalities perfectly suited to our needs," explains Wilfried Bonnet, Equipment Fleet Manager for Africa.
The solution meets a number of objectives: real-time tracking, security thanks in particular to remote immobilization, optimized operation and reduced carbon footprint. Another advantage is that it is compatible with the Hiboo solution already installed, to centralize and analyze data.
"Our objectives are concrete, realistic and achievable: to increase equipment utilization by 6% and reduce fuel consumption by 8%," emphasizes Wilfried Bonnet.
