Tower crane assemblers: the first graduates!

The Commission Professionnelle des Métiers et Matériels de la grue à tour (CPMDG) of the DLR federation, will celebrate the first graduates of the "Tower Crane Fitter" training course on September 12, at the Potain Academy site in St-Pierre de Chandieu. The event marks the culmination for the profession of a program aimed at recognizing and enhancing the skills of these professionals, through training that is officially recognized and leads to professional certification. It will enable tower crane assemblers to keep pace with technological advances in equipment, and with ever-increasing health & safety and environmental requirements and constraints. A first training session took place from April 2023 to March 2024, involving 8 alternating students, at the Potain Academy. A second session, due to end in January 2025, is currently underway. At the end of these two sessions, it will be possible to declare this training to France Compétences, in order to have it recognized as a "GMA-GME Tower Crane Fitter".
