TotalEnergies and Daimler Truck France have inaugurated a semi-public electric charging depot for trucks and commercial vehicles in Gonesse. Installed at the TruckStore, this new "Open Dépôt" combines three uses: private for Daimler Truck's workshops, public during the day for touring needs, and public at night with a long-term rental parking lot.
The site aims to support the growing use of electric trucks by adding charging points on regional routes. Fifteen charging points, ranging from 22 kW AC to 400 kW DC, will be accessible to vehicles operating in the north-east of Paris. The system is compatible with the Charge+Truck card, which is supported by the TotalEnergies and AS 24 networks.
For both partners, this shared model should optimize the use of infrastructure and offer an operational solution to transport operators committed to the energy transition. Mathieu Soulas, Director of New Mobilities at TotalEnergies, emphasizes that pooling improves the use of equipment while keeping charging costs under control. Ulrich Loebich, Chairman and CEO of Daimler Truck France, points out that the TruckStore in Gonesse is expanding its services to include on-site electric charging.
