The DLR Federation has published new cost indices for the tower crane rental and service business for the 1st half of 2025. Conducted by NEO Engineering on behalf of the CPMDG commission, the study highlights contrasting cost trends by business.
The Tower Crane Rental index stood at 121.11 in the second quarter of 2025, up +2.1% on 2024 and +21.1% on the annual average for 2019. This increase confirms the sector's inflationary trend, driven by rising equipment, energy and labor costs.
Conversely, the Services cost index (transport, assembly, technical assistance) is virtually stable at 116.17, down slightly by 0.1% year-on-year, but up +16.2% since 2019.
These indicators are an essential benchmark for assembly, maintenance and rental companies, enabling them to keep a close eye on cost trends and adjust their pricing policies against a backdrop of persistent economic tension.
