Deutsche Binnenreederei to become Rhenus PartnerShip Berlin from 2026

From January 1, 2026, Deutsche Binnenreederei (DBR), a member of the Rhenus Group since 2020, will change its name to Rhenus PartnerShip Berlin. This rebranding is designed to bring together DBR and Rhenus expertise in European inland waterway transport under a single identity.

Founded in 1949, DBR provides inland waterway transport in East Germany and Poland, as well as on the canal network of northern Germany, with a fleet specializing in containers, bulk and heavy goods. Integration into the Rhenus Group strengthens DBR's presence in the European waterway network, from Benelux to France and along the Danube.

Philip Tomaskowicz, Managing Director of Rhenus PartnerShip, emphasizes: "Under the Rhenus PartnerShip name, we organize complete transport chains for our customers."

The change only concerns the brand image: structures, locations and services remain unchanged, with the Berlin, Magdeburg and Hamburg sites retained.
