US manufacturer of specialized vehicles and equipment Oshkosh Corporation (NYSE: OSK) has been awarded the EcoVadis Bronze Medal for its sustainable development performance.
The assessment, carried out according to the international standards of the Global Reporting Initiative and ISO 26000, covers four areas: environment, human rights, ethics and responsible purchasing. This distinction places Oshkosh among the top 35% of companies rated by EcoVadis, which evaluates over 130,000 companies in 180 countries every year.
" This recognition reflects our progress in electrification, automation and sustainable supply chain management," emphasized Steve Piette, the Group's Vice President Sustainable Development.
Oshkosh, parent company of JLG Industries, has also been listed in the Dow Jones Sustainability World Index for six years, and was named one of the world's most ethical companies by Ethisphere for the tenth year running.
