The Vinci Group turned in an outstanding performance in 2024, with sales up 4% to 71.6 billion euros, and record net income of 4.9 billion euros (+3.4%). International business now accounts for 58% of sales, boosted by strategic acquisitions such as Edinburgh Airport and infrastructure projects in the USA and Brazil.
"The economic performance of the Energy Division, comprising VINCI Energies and Cobra IS, has been particularly buoyant. Representing almost 40% of the Group's total business, it is benefiting from buoyant markets driven in particular by the energy transition, digital transformation and the growing need for sustainable mobility," comments Xavier Huillard, the Group's CEO. These underlying trends are also underpinning VINCI Construction's business and order intake, whose operating margin, the fruit of a policy of selectivity in business intake and rigorous execution of worksites, continued to improve in 2024. All in all, the order book for the Energy and Construction Divisions reached a new high at the end of the year."
Vinci Construction posted sales of €31.8 billion, including €14 billion in France (+2.4%). This result was driven by sustained business in roadworks, railways and hydraulic engineering, as well as, in the building sector, by public building rehabilitation and construction projects.
With a record order book of 69.1 billion euros, up 13% year-on-year, the Group can look forward to an average of 14 months' business. This gives us the confidence and ambition to look forward to 2025, when we expect further sales growth.
