In the Hauts-de-France region, the NGE Group is building an electric charging station for Milence in Grande-Synthe. This new electric charging station for heavy vehicles is the 8th to be built (or under construction) by the Group. Various NGE Group businesses are involved: NGE Energies Solutions, for the installation of high-powered (700 kW) electric charging stations, electrical cabinets and connection to the stations, as well as civil engineering, heavy concrete roadways, video surveillance and landscaping.
"Our businesses are constantly evolving to meet the challenges of the ecological transition. Building this new hub also means making a direct contribution to the region's economic dynamism and attractiveness. Energy, decarbonation, sustainable materials and resources, innovative projects... these are all part of the development strategy of the Hauts-de-France region, and by building this hub, we are making our contribution to the edifice," declares Olivier Lamerant, NGE's Regional Director for Hauts-de- France.
The first Milence public electric charging hub for trucks was inaugurated last April in Heudebouville (Eure). Milence, a joint venture created in 2022 between Daimler Truck, the Traton Group and the Volvo Group, aims to install and operate 1,700 high-performance public charging points in Europe by 2027 to accelerate the transition to electric heavy-duty vehicles.
