Multitel delivers its first 70 m hybrid nacelle

The Multitel MJ700 telescopic boom lift, with a working height of 70 m, has been fitted with a hybrid system that enables it to work without emissions or noise. Supplied by the Dutch company Boer BV, it is mounted on a Volvo FM500 10×4 truck (5 axles). Its maximum horizontal offset is 36 m, with a basket load of 120 kg, rising to 280 kg at an offset of 33.50 m and 600 kg at an offset of 28.50 m. Variable stabilization on each stabilizer from 1.3 m enables the machine to be positioned even in confined spaces.

The new hybrid pack enables it to operate in electric mode, thanks to a power system consisting of two lithium batteries and an electric motor, which drives the hydraulic pump. The batteries enable the machine to be fully deployed at least 4 times, from the rest position up to 70 m. Recharging is possible either by plugging into the 400V mains (recharging in around 4 hours) or by running the on-board diesel generator at any time during work.
Already in possession of a Multitel Pagliero MJ525 and a J335 ALU, Boer BV is strengthening its range of "greener" equipment. 29 Dutch municipalities have already set up zero-emission zones.
