Générale de Manutention Portuaire (GMP) in Le Havre has placed a major order with Kalmar for 26 hybrid straddle carriers. This latest purchase, which brings to 54 the number of hybrid straddle carriers ordered since 2020, is part of GMP's efforts to reduce its carbon footprint and the noise of its operations. Delivery is scheduled for the second and third quarters of 2025. "Kalmar hybrid riders have proven to be a perfect fit for our operations, enabling us to reduce our carbon footprint through investments in product designs that save energy and reduce greenhouse gas emissions," said Louis Jonquière, CEO of GMP Le Havre.
