The Maurin Group has taken over the activities of the 5 sites of LVI, an Iveco subsidiary in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes. It has thus extended its scope to include the sale and repair of Iveco commercial vehicles and trucks, as well as the repair and maintenance of Iveco Bus and Heuliez buses and coaches.
Benoît Catelin, Managing Director of Groupe Maurin, commented: "Groupe Maurin is more than just a company; it's a brand that conveys meaning and emotion, is forward-looking and committed to protecting the environment. It was therefore natural for us to invest in the IVECO brand, with which we share the same values. And we're determined to give the brand's customers complete satisfaction.
The 126 employees at the five sites in Saint-Priest, Brignais, Mions (Rhône), Andrézieux-Bouthéon and Le Coteau (Loire) are joining the Maurin group, which is already planning to build a new site in Saint-Priest. Founded in 1982 by Jean-Bernard Maurin, the eponymous group is now France's fifth-largest automotive distribution group. It distributes 21 car brands through 140 dealerships in France, Germany, Spain and Belgium, and employs 3,500 people. In 2023, it achieved sales of 2.5 billion euros.
"IVECO is thus pursuing its strategy of strengthening its network by relying on high-performance partners, to ensure the best possible service for its customers," said Sabrina Bertellino, IVECO Network Director in France.
The signing took place on July 17, 2024 in Vénissieux (Rhône) between Stéphane Espinasse, President of Iveco France, and Benoît Catelin, Managing Director of the Maurin Group. It took place in the presence of Sabrina Bertellino, Director of the IVECO network in France, Solène Grange, General Manager of Iveco France, and Xavier Leroux, Strategy & Dealer Operations Manager of the Maurin Group.
