Jacky Perrenot invests in first green hydrogen truck

Groupe Jacky Perrenot has launched a hydrogen-powered truck for its customer Lidl. This 26-tonne Hyundai FC Xscient Fuel Cell truck (with a 100 kW fuel cell) has a range of 400 km. It refuels at the La Roche-sur-Yon multi-energy station, due to open in December 2021, and is supplied with 100% renewable green hydrogen by Lhyfe. It has been in operation since the beginning of the year at the Carquefou platform, making deliveries to the Nantes region.
This innovative vehicle was adapted by Jacky Perrenot, holder of the CO2 label. The environmental collaboration between LIDL and Jacky Perrenot has resulted in the annual renewal of part of the company's fleet with alternative energies. The first all-electric deliveries began in 2021.

Lidl has also chosen green hydrogen from 2021 to power its 100 handling trucks at its Carquefou platform, in partnership with Lhyfe.
