Hydrokit electrifies construction machinery with Parker Hannifin

Hydrokit, a subsidiary of the Vendée-based Vensys group, and Parker Hannifin have signed a partnership agreement to offer turnkey electrical retrofit solutions for non-road mobile machinery in the agricultural, public works and industrial sectors. Hydrokit, based in the Vendée region of France, designs complete kits to electrify a wide range of mobile machinery. It began its career designing hydraulic kits for agriculture, before expanding into the public works, industrial, marine and industrial bodywork sectors.
Parker Hannifin supplies its range of motors and variable speed drives for these electrification kits. Hydrokit retrofit kits are designed on a generic platform with standard components, such as Parker motors and drives. They are integrated into the mobile machine via an electrical, mechanical or hydraulic interface, as chosen by the machine manufacturer. "Hydrokit's background is in hydraulics and mobile machinery. We're very familiar with mobile machine applications, and can offer both electrical distribution and the man-machine interface (MMI)," emphasizes Nicolas Gazeau, innovation and market watch manager for the Vensys Group.

With this electric retrofit solution, particularly well-suited to vehicles under 50hp, electrification halves CO2 emissions. This is the answer not only to strict regulatory and environmental constraints in terms of emissions, but also noise, one of the main nuisances in urban centers.
