DB Schenker ramps up HVO in France

Since January, the DB Schenker Group has been using HVO fuel in 10 of its branches in France for its courier activities. The Tours, Niort, Le Mans, Bonneuil en France, Dijon, Clermont Ferrand, Orléans, Amiens, Toulon and Evreux branches have replaced diesel in their tanks with HVO biofuel. As a result, 240 vehicles can now run on HVO100, i.e. 100% HVO. " This is one of the energies associated with our decarbonization plan, which should lead us to a 50% reduction in our CO2 emissions by 2030, compared with 2021, and then to carbon neutrality by 2040," says François Mallassagne, Route Schenker France and Maghreb Director.

With 240 HVO vehicles, 70 electric trucks and 62 biogas vehicles, Schenker France has 30% low-carbon vehicles.
