Daf Trucks produced more than 69800 trucks in 2023 at its Eindhoven and Leyland plants - a record level! Across Europe, the Group recorded a market share of 15.6%. In France, DAF posted a 14.7% market share in the 16T segment, its second-best market share ever in France. A total of 6841 units were registered in 2023. In addition, DAF Components has shipped more than 2,350 PACCAR engines to coach, bus and special vehicle manufacturers worldwide. In 2023, the group is also preparing for the production of all-electric trucks, with the opening of its new assembly site for this range in Eindhoven. The constrcutuer also introduced its XD and XF multi-axle models, including a wide range of construction vehicles.
"According to estimates, registrations in the European market for trucks over 16 tonnes will amount to between 260,000 and 300,000 trucks in 2024," said Harald Seidel, President of DAF Trucks N.V.
