Renault Trucks to build a new logistics platform in Lyon

Renault Trucks is to build a new global spare parts distribution center at its Lyon Saint-Priest site. The new building will cover 46,000 m2 and represents an investment of €132 million. The building is due to open in 2028. The manufacturer has chosen to locate this new logistics platform on the site of its current axle and bridge manufacturing plant (which will be relocated to Vénissieux). Extensive work will be carried out, including the demolition of the old building and soil decontamination.
The future distribution center will comprise a 46,000 m2 flexible warehouse, including a standard storage area, a fully automated zone dedicated to small parts, and a space dedicated to batteries. Designed to be energy-positive, the new building will be equipped with photovoltaic panels on the entire roof, and will be able to produce the electricity required for its own needs, as well as those of neighboring buildings.
