DMP SAS, regional Kalmar dealer, has placed an order with Somacom (Société de Manutention et de Consignation Maritime) for three new diesel-electric straddle carriers. The order, booked in Q4 2023, is scheduled for delivery in Q4 2024. Port Réunion, the busiest container port in the Indian Ocean, is located on the west coast of Reunion Island. It is the only port on the island, some twenty kilometers from the capital, St Denis. The main goods handled are petroleum products, building materials, sugar products, cereals and foodstuffs.
