A new "exceptional" Actros joins Transports Coudreau

Transports Coudreau, based in the Vienne region of France, have invested in their first Mercedes Actros L tractor unit, to handle their exceptional transport assignments. This yellow Actros 3363 6×4 with GigaSpace cab is equipped with the TRC (Turbo Retarder Clutch) system, a unique combination of converter and retarder that enables heavy loads to be towed without tiring the driveline. "We opted for this tractor not only because of the cutting-edge technology it offers, but also and above all because the Mercedes distributor listened to our needs," explains Thierry Coudreau, President of Transports Coudreau. The new vehicle is attached to a Faymonville semi-trailer, which is also brand new.
"I knew the brand for its reliability and fuel consumption. But the handover and follow-up were important points that the Mercedes distributor, in this case SAGA Poitiers, managed very well. That's important for such specific vehicles," explains Thierry Coudreau. The company's first Mercedes tractor has joined a fleet of 37 engines and almost 70 semi-trailers, all Faymonville. Initially specializing in removals, furniture storage and courier services, this family-run business, founded in 1979, is now totally dedicated to heavy-duty transport.
