Additional €200 million to accelerate the deployment of electric charging stations

An additional budget of €200m has been announced by the government to accelerate the rollout of electric charging points. They complement the €320m mobilized since 2016 to install 140,000 charging points. These additional 200 M€ will be dedicated in particular to charging for heavy goods vehicles, "which needs to be amplified to support the decarbonization of freight transport". They will also be mobilized for infrastructure in collective housing and for charging on roads and public land. These additional resources should make it possible to reach the target of 400,000 charging stations open to the public by 2030.
