Lifting: cost prices continue to rise

The UFL (Union française du levage) has drawn up an index of lifting costs for the 2nd quarter of 2023, up 4.6% on 2022. On a quarterly average, the steepest rises are in depreciation and financing costs for a mobile crane (+248.4% on 2020 for financing) and energy, up 69.3%.

In 2022, the cost price was already 17.59% higher than in 2020, and 11.42% higher than in 2021. The work carried out by Neo Engineering, commissioned by the federation to draw up this index, is based on official indices such as Insee, the Comité National Routier, the Banque de France, France Assureurs and Le Moniteur.
