Renault, Volvo and CMA CGM join forces for electric mobility 

Renault Group and Volvo Group announce the creation of a new company dedicated to the development of a new generation of electric vans, each investing €300 million over 3 years. The CMA CGM Group has signed a letter of intent to participate in this new company, investing €120 million through Pulse, its Energy Fund dedicated to accelerating the decarbonization of the transport and logistics sectors. The creation of this new company, based in France, is scheduled for early 2024, following regulatory approval processes.
Production of the new all-electric vehicles is scheduled to start in 2026. They will be produced on a new "skateboard"-type all-electric light commercial vehicle platform, enabling different body modules to be adapted at low cost. This platform will enable a major breakthrough in safety.
