Webfleet's OEM.connect program has been extended to support Mercedes-Benz brand electric vehicles and light commercial vehicles. Fleet managers can now access data from these electric vehicles without the need for additional hardware. Information such as charging time, range, current battery status and energy consumption is available via the vehicle identification number (VIN). This enables employees to choose the most suitable vehicle in the fleet for each task, plan their routes, check battery status and manage their recharging options.
Webfleet intends to extend the program to include electric vehicles from a wider range of manufacturers in the near future.
